Kenya records 80 new virus cases

Kenya’s Covid-19 cases have risen to 1,109, with 80 new cases recorded.

This is from a sample size of 3,102.

This is the largest sample size.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe on Thursday said Kenya has increased its testing capacity by 40 per cent in the last two weeks.

Of the new cases, 40 are from Nairobi, while 20 are from Mombasa.

Siaya’s cases have risen to seven, with the county’s first case originating from a person who travelled from Kibera for a funeral.
